about montleART
Live, work, and network in an inspiring artist community in the heart of Vienna. Montleart offers you space for creative development, artistic exchange, and new projects – for 3 to 5 months.
Montleart is an artist residency in Vienna. We offer up to three international artists simultaneously the opportunity to live in a 194 m² space, work in two studios, and realize their projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Reside
Our residency functions like a shared apartment for up to 3 artists. There are furnished single or double rooms in a very quiet house in a green setting. The kitchen, common areas, and terrace are available for shared use.
Work
Studios and workspaces are available flexibly – whether for painting, installation, performance, literature, or digital media. Depending on your project, we support you with the appropriate infrastructure.
Community
Montleart offers you the freedom to design your stay yourself – in exchange with others or entirely on your own.

our vision
Montleart is an independent artist residency in Vienna. Since 2020, we have been creating space for artistic work, interdisciplinary exchange, and international networking. We believe that art emerges where space, time, and inspiration converge. Montleart is designed precisely for this purpose – a place where artists can live, work, and inspire one another.
In a completely peaceful location surrounded by greenery – with excellent transport links within easy walking distance.

Art + social engagement
Our Gründerzeit-era villas are a diverse place: in addition to our residency, apartments are also used by social organizations such as Diakonie and Hilfswerk. Anyone who wishes can combine their own artistic practice with social engagement here – for example, through projects, workshops, or encounters with local people. In this way, art becomes a contribution to community life.
